U.S. Congressman Pitts Brings Health Care Debate
to Elizabethtown College

pitts-color.jpgAt an event open exclusively to Elizabethtown College faculty, staff and students, U.S. Congressman Joseph Pitts (R-Pa.) will discuss national health care reform at Elizabethtown College on Monday, October 5. The United States legislator—who represents constituents in Lancaster, Chester and Berks counties in Pennsylvania—will offer his perspectives and answer questions from our community from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in Leffler Chapel and Performance Center.

The U.S. Congressman’s visit results from a request made by Assistant Professor of Business Law Sylvester Williams, IV, during a field study experience in the Washington Institute course. According to Dr. Williams, the legislator will focus his remarks on how this important issue is impacting our nation today and will affect the business environment over the next 20 to 30 years.

All are encouraged to attend. Questions about this event may be directed to Dr. Williams at williamss@etown.edu or the Office of Marketing and Communications at ext. 1410.
