Fall Internship

National Watch and Clock Museum
514 Poplar St., Columbia, PA 17512-2130

The following is the information about the latest intern opening we’re looking to fill for the fall here at the Museum. Since this is not a paid position, it would be for credit. We would prefer a history, marketing or museum major. The hours per week would be approximately 15.

The intern would assist with our “Steps in Time” project. Steps in Time is a series of self-guided tours being established at the National Watch and Clock Museum. Each tour will look at a specific aspect of horology and may include a look at the people behind the clocks, the advancements in technology, or perhaps specific aspects of craftsmanship. Intern will work on assigned topics, research material, and draft suitable to be used for the self-guided tour. Intern should be well organized, detail-oriented, able to work well with minimal supervision, and able to communicate well through written word. In addition, intern will work to prepare text for public display. Tasks will include printing, cutting, pasting, and affixing in designated gallery space.
