Leffler Chapel, Elizabethtown College
For the 3rd consecutive year, Elizabethtown College and a local PICPA (Pennsylvania Institute of CPA’s) chapter are co-hosting one of the “CPA - Passport to Opportunity” programs that are occurring across the state. The program is a one day event that invites students from surrounding high schools to learn about the diverse career paths in accounting first hand from local CPAs. Speakers will talk to groups of students about their unique career and school experiences, as well as finding a work-life balance. The session also includes an opportunity to ask questions of some of our current accounting majors and the attendees are given information on the college admissions process and how to apply to college. Expected attendance is in excess of 175 high school students and educators.
Professor Terrie Riportella, Director of the Accounting Program at Elizabethtown College, will welcome the students and educators at 9:30 a.m. Prof. Riportella will be involved in a panel along with 4 other Elizabethtown College Accounting students from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.
A complete listing of the events can be found in the agenda.
