Etown got a strong four-hit performance from starter Ryan Bowe
and the Blue Jay offense managed to score four runs off the crafty
SU righty, Joe Guistina to take home a 4-1 win over the Crusaders.
Bowe struck out five to improve to 5-2 on the season.
The Jays scored two in the third inning, as Seth Guida reached
on an error and then scored on another SU error on a Justin Brandt
sacrifice bunt. Brandt and Eric Sawchuk worked the double steal
to perfection, as Sawchuk scored the second run of the inning.
In the fifth, Chris Turtell smacked his sixth homerun of the season
to rightfield for the first run of the inning. Then singles by Kevin
Bonner and Brad Duppstadt put runners at first and second for Brad
Biehl. The senior singled in Bonner for the fourth and final run
of the game.
