- A Few Words from Your President, Andrea Matz...

I write this is you as newly elected ECCK President. I am still amazed and awed that I have been elected into the role to lead the club during the next year. Yes, I am nervous; but my excitement and anticipation for the upcoming year overshadow the nervousness. Over the past few weeks, I have had the opportunity to work with the new board - it has been an experience, to say the least, full of emails, Skype meetings, and a 6-hour time difference. Each new board member has shown their dedication and commitment to the furtherance of the club. I am confident that we can work together in our shared enthusiasm and commitment to strengthen and further the club!

Building on a great, strong core group established this past year, our focus this upcoming year will be membership improvement and development. We are planning to extend leadership opportunities to general members through chair committees and special events and projects.

While spending the year in France has been a great experience, I cannot wait to come home. I have spent time with some of the Kiwanis clubs here, and I am eager to share some of their ideas with the club and I am excited to see what the new year will bring.

As a board, we have created goals for ECCK for the new year. I believe that they are not only achievable and attainable – but that as a club, we can surpass each goal set. The new goals are … 60 members, 10 P.E.R.K. points per member, and 7000 service hours! The new board is ready and willing to take on this challenge, are you?
