Keyboard Studies in the Department of Fine and
Performing Arts are coordinated by Debra Ronning,
Lecturer in Music. Faculty include Ms.
Ronning, Dr. Hiu Wah Au, and Dr. Douglas
Bomberger. Adjunct faculty include Mrs.
Cheryl Gingerich, piano and pedagogy, and Mr.
Anthony Ciucci, organ instructor.
The Piano Ensemble meets weekly and performs throughout the school year. The group performs a variety of ensemble repertoire including duo, duet, trio and quartet keyboard literature. Accompanying assignments within the department are also coordinated for individuals in the ensemble. Ms. Ronning is the director of the Piano Ensemble.
Students who complete the Piano Methods and Materials class taught by Ms. Cheryl Gingerich are eligible to teach private piano students in the Preparatory Division of the Department of Fine and Performing Arts. Another component of the keyboard program is the Early Childhood program taught by Ms. Pamela Brightman, instructor in the Preparatory Division. This program offers a beginning group piano class for young children.
