Message from the President of the College and
the Vice President for Institutional Advancement
and Community Relations

It is with heartfelt gratitude that we write these words to all of you—our fellow investors in Elizabethtown College. This past year was a time when many people across the globe faced financial challenges. Yet despite economic uncertainty, those of you whose names grace the following pages remained loyal to the College. Together, alumni, friends, faculty, staff, corporations, foundations, parents, grandparents, and many others contributed nearly $6 million to the College last year. Elizabethtown College is fortunate to enjoy your steadfast commitment and unwavering support, and we are proud to present this Donor Report to all of you.

It goes without saying that we take your investment in and dedication to the College seriously. You are Elizabethtown College's most trusted asset. Your support last year was particularly meaningful because it helped affirm our decision to embark on a comprehensive strategic planning initiative, one which will lay the framework for the next three to five years. Elizabethtown College is poised for an even brighter future, with the necessary resources in place—top-notch faculty and staff, a dedicated Board of Trustees, the best and brightest students, scholarly programming, high quality facilities and infrastructure, a viable community, and of course you, our loyal donors and friends. Elizabethtown College is well prepared to forge ahead to the next phase, and with your continued help, we know that we will get there.

Over the next five years we look forward to working with all of you, people who we view as our partners in this effort, to strengthen the College's foundation. We will do so financially, seeking increased foundation grants and private gifts; academically, in promoting engaged learning; and scholastically, through increased research, internships, and international study opportunities.

Elizabethtown College and its current and future students owe a tremendous of amount of appreciation to you, our stakeholders. As we continue to meet the demands of an extremely competitive educational environment and raise Elizabethtown College to even greater heights, we are truly grateful for your ongoing support and dedication.

With all good wishes,

David Beidlem
