YORK POUNDS OUT 16 HITS IN RAIN-SOAKED 11-3 DECISION OVER ETOWN
YORK, Pa. --- Tom Wenrich went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI to lead York to an 11-3 win over Elizabethtown in non-league action on Thursday. With the loss, the Blue Jays fell to 16-7.Scott Weigle and Tyler Comp each rapped out a single and double for Etown, which lost its third straight game for the first time this season. Comp and Pete Gonzalez knocked in one run apiece for the Blue Jays.
The Spartans (14-11) took a 2-0 lead after three innings before breaking the game open with a six-run rally in the fourth.
Etown returns to action on Saturday, April
17 with a home doubleheader against MAC Commonwealth League rival Albright
College. Game time is 1 p.m.
