Bowe Throws Complete Game as Etown Pounds Conference Rival Juniata, 12-4

HUNTINGDON, Pa. --- Elizabethtown broke out of a three game losing streak by pounding Commonwealth Conference rival Juniata 12-4 on the road in a nine-inning game Friday. Etown improves to 5-14 overall and 2-4 in the conference with the win, while Juniata falls to 8-9 overall and 2-4 in the conference with the loss.

Ryan Bowe (Quarryville, PA/Solanco) threw a nine-inning complete game for Etown, allowing 10 hits and four earned runs while striking out five to improve to 3-2 on the season.

Kevin Bonner (Pitman, NJ/Pitman) led the Blue Jays at the plate, going 4-for-6 with two doubles, one RBI and one run scored. Brad Biehl (Hamburg, PA/Hamburg) was 3-for-4 with a double one run, and one RBI. Freshman Seth Guida (Reading, PA/Exeter) hit a home run and went 2-for-4 with two runs and three RBI, and classmate Erik Sawchuk (Royersford, PA/Spring-Ford) hit 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI for the Blue Jays.

Etown returns to action Saturday, March 30, at home for a conference doubleheader of two seven inning games against Juniata. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
