Elizabethtown Defeats Loras (IA), 5-4, in Ft. Pierce, Fla. to Even Record at 2-2

FT. PIERCE, Fla. --- Elizabethtown evened its record a 2-2 with a 5-4 win over Loras (IA) in Ft. Pierce, FL Wednesday.

Mark Dixon (Havertown, PA/Delaware County Christian) started on the mound for the Blue Jays and went 6-2/3 innings, allowing three runs and five hits and striking out four to get the win. Steve Luongo (Basking Ridge, NJ/Ridge) got the final batter out to pick up the save.

Brad Duppstadt (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley) batted three-for-four with two stolen bases, one run and one RBI. Seth Guida (Reading, PA/Exeter) hit two-for-three with a triple and one run batted in, and Eric Wetzel (Lewisburg, PA/Lewisburg) hit one-for-four with two runs scored and one RBI.
