WINCHESTER, Va. --- Elizabethtown College dropped to 0-3 in the 2006 season with a pair of losses in a doubleheader at Shenandoah University Saturday. The Blue Jays fell 16-7 in the first game and lost 3-2 in the second game.

In the first game, Etown took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, went up 2-0 in the second inning, and held a 4-0 lead halfway through the third inning. Shenandoah roared back beginning in the bottom of the third, tying the game 4-4. By the end of the fourth, the host Hornets led 6-4, and an eight-run bottom of the fifth inning gave Shenandoah a 14-4 lead. Shenandoah went up 16-4 in the bottom of the sixth. Elizabethtown rallied in the top of the seventh with three runs to cut the gap to 16-7.
