ELIZABETHTHOWN COLLEGE BASEBALL Blue Jays Fall to Susquehanna in 10 Innings, 6-5 FORT PIERCE, Fla. --- John Lunardi drew a bases-loaded walk with two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning to give Susquehanna University a 6-5 victory over Elizabethtown College in baseball action at the Lawnwood Complex on Monday afternoon. The Crusaders (1-2 overall) trailed 5-2 after six innings, but scored twice in the seventh and once more in the eighth to force extra innings, before coming away with the win in the 10th. The Blue Jays (3-2 overall) were led by junior Sam Heaps (Landenberg, PA/Avon Grove), who went 3-for-5 with two runs batted in, while sophomore Rodney Francis (Pottstown, PA/Owen J. Roberts) finished 2-for-4 with two runs batted in and a run scored. Tyler Reichard finished 3-for-5 with a run scored for Susquehanna, while Pat Murphy added two hits and scored a run as part of an 11-hit attack by the Crusaders. Sophomore Adam Hartzell (Spring City, PA/Owen J. Roberts) started for the Blue Jays and allowed five hits and four runs (one earned) in six-plus innings of work, striking out eight. Brian Ahearn gave up five runs on nine hits in seven innings for the Crusaders, with Rob Fox earning the win out of the bullpen with three scoreless innings of relief.
