Directions to Widener University

From Northern New Jersey: Take the New Jersey Turnpike South to Exit 4. Follow Rte. 73 West (to the right after toll) for 1/2-mile and get on I-295 South. Follow the signs for the Walt Whitman Bridge/Philadelphia (left exit off I-295). Cross the Walt Whitman and make an immediate right after the toll booths. Go straight ahead at the traffic light and get on I-95 South. Go past the Philadelphia International Airport to the I-476/Exit 7. When the ramp forks, follow the signs to McDade Blvd.-West/Exit 1. At the third traffic light make a left on to Melrose Ave. At the third stop sign, make a left on to 17th Street, which is the Schwartz Center drive entrance. Continue down the drive and park behind the building. The tennis courts are adjacent to the building, as are the softball, and baseball fields. The field hockey and women’s lacrosse field is on the corner of Melrose Avenue and 17th Street; men’s and women’s soccer and men’s lacrosse play behind the Old Main Administration Building, located on 14th Street.

From Southern New Jersey: Use the NJ Turnpike to Exit 2, and follow the signs to the Commodore Barry Bridge. Cross the bridge into PAand take I-95 North (2nd right off bridge). Take Exit 6. At the top of the ramp, stay to the left. Make a left at the first traffic light and immediately get into the right lane to bear right on Route 322 - Providence Road (stay to the right of the Airport Inn and Diner). Go through two traffic lights, and take the second right on to 17th Street. Stay on 17th Street, paralleling the campus, and it becomes the Schwartz Athletic Center Driveway.

From Northeast Pennsylvania: Take I-476 South to Exit 1, McDade Blvd.-West, and follow directions from Exit 1 in Northern New Jersey.

From Central PA: Take the PA Turnpike (l-76) to the Mid-County exit for I-476. Follow I-476 South to Exit 1, McDade Boulevard and take that west. Follow the directions from Exit 1 in Northern New Jersey.

From Maryland, Delaware & Points South: Take I-95 North. You may follow I-495 North around downtown Wilmington and it rejoins I-95 in PA. Take Exit 6 and follow the directions from Southern New Jersey.
