Elizabethtown Places 15th in Blue Jay Classic; Franklin & Marshall Wins
HERSHEY, Pa. --- Elizabethtown hosted its annual Spring Blue Jay Classic tournament Wednesday at the Hershey Country Club East Course, and the Blue Jays finished 15th with a score of 354. Franklin & Marshall won the tournament with a score of 309, and Moravian placed second with a score of 315. Moravian’s Dustin McCormick was the medalist for the tournament with a score of 73, while Lebanon Valley’s Steve Thomas placed second with 74.
Etown’s lowest scorer was junior Bob Pyrz (Harleysville, PA/Souderton Area) with a total of 84 strokes. He scored 41 on the back nine.
Elizabethtown will return to action at the Glenmaura Invitational Sunday, April 23 and Monday, April 24.
