Etown Hosts Annual Fall Blue Jay Classic Tournament, Blue Jays Place 11th
HERSHEY, Pa. --- Elizabethtown hosted its annual Fall Blue Jay Classic tournament Thursday and finished 11th out of 14 teams with a score of 327. Susquehanna University won the tournament with a score of 294, and Susquehanna’s Pat Serfass was the medalist with a score of 68, finishing three under par on the Hershey Country Club East Course.
Etown’s top golfers on the day were junior Bob Pyrz (Harleysville, PA/Souderton Area), who shot 80 for the day, along with junior Shehzad Dar (West Windsor, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro South), who also shot 80 but did not figure into the Blue Jays’ team scoring. Sophomore Hunter Gross (Elizabethtown, PA) and first-year student Mike Wagner (Allentown, PA/William Allen) both shot 81 for the Blue Jays.
Their fall season now complete, the Blue Jays will resume the 2005-06 campaign in March.
