Elizabethtown Places 10th at Gettysburg Invitational

GETTYSBURG, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College golf team opened its 2008 spring schedule with a 10th-place finish at the Gettysburg Invitational at the par-72 Links at Gettysburg on Tuesday afternoon.

Junior Mike Wagner (Allentown, PA/William Allen) turned in the best round of the day for the Blue Jays with an 81, good for a tie for seventh place in a field of 64 golfers.

Sophomore Kurt Amen (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) tied for 30th place with an 86, while first-year student Nick Iacono (Hockessin, DE/Sanford School) fired an 88 and junior Maurice Rapp (Bangor, PA/Bangor) carded a 99.

McDaniel College won the team title with a score of 310, while Susquehanna University's Scott Cruff was the individual medalist with a 74. The Blue Jays finished with a score of 354 as a team.
