Elizabethtown Finishes Seventh in Fall Blue Jay Classic
ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College golf team hosted the Fall Blue Jay Classic at the Hershey Country Club East Course on Saturday afternoon, finishing seventh in a field of 11 teams.
First-year student Geoff Quinque (Green Lane, PA/Upper Perkiomen) was the Blue Jays' top finisher as he shot an 80, with senior Hunter Gross (Elizabethtown, PA/Elizabethtown) and junior Mike Wagner (Allentown, PA/William Allen) following at 83.
The Blue Jay "B" squad also competed at the meet and finished 10th, with first-year student Nick Iacono (Hockessin, DE/Sanford School) carding the low round of the day with an 80.
York College won the tournament with a team score of 300, followed by Dickinson College (311) and Gettysburg College and Moravian College tied for third at 318. Dickinson's Tommy Shapiro was the medalist with a score of 72.
