ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE FIELD HOCKEY

SCHROEDER'S FIRST COLLEGIATE GOAL DOWNS MORAVIAN IN OVERTIME, 2-1

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Lynmarie Schroeder scored her first collegiate goal in the 12th minute of overtime to give Elizabethtown a 2-1 win over Moravian in MAC Commonwealth League action on Saturday.  With the win, the Blue Jay improved to 8-8 overall and 2-4 in the league.

Moravian (6-10, 1-5) sent the game to extra time when Julie Kalbfleisch scored with 22:47 remaining in the second half.

Melissa Mayette scored for the third consecutive game to give the Blue Jays a 1-0 lead with 14:23 left in the first half.  Mandi Ewing set up the goal for her fourth assist of the season.

Kate VanValkenburgh made eight saves in the Etown cage to pick up the win.  Tricia Salomonsen made ten stops for the Greyhounds.

The Blue Jays return to action on Tuesday, October 20 at home against Widener University.  Game time is 4 p.m.
