BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Elizabethtown picked up its first MAC Commonwealth Conferfence win of the season on a 2-0 shutout at Moravian Wednesday. The Blue Jays improved to 6-6 overall with the victory.
Mindy Nace (Thompsontown, PA/East Juniata) scored the opening goal just over a minute into the game. The final goal was scored by Mandi Ewing (McClure, PA/West Snyder) with just over ten minutes remaining in the first half.
Goaltender Kate VanValkenburgh (Malvern, PA/Great Valley) made five saves for the Blue Jays, gaining her fourth shutout of the season. Defender Tara Torillo (Runnemede, NJ/Triton) made her 12th defensive save of 1999.
The Blue Jays return to action at Shippensburg, Saturday, October 9. Game time is noon.
