BLUE JAYS FALL TO DICKINSON, 4-2
CARLISLE, Pa. --- Elizabethtown failed to hold an early lead and lost to Dickinson, 4-2, Monday. The Blue Jays are now 6-8 in 1999.
Etown took the lead in the first ten minutes of the game on a goal from Emily Pitzer (Biglerville, PA/Biglerville), assisted by Patti Speakman (Still Pond, MD/Kent County). However, Dickinson's relentless offensive attack, which produced 21 shots in the game, resulted in three consecutive Red Devil goals afterward.
An unassisted goal by Brandy Espenshade (Grantville, PA/Lower Dauphin) narrowed Dickinson's lead to 3-2 with 18:17 remaining in the game. Dickinson (5-8) pulled away again with Sara Adams' second goal of the day at 7:16 remaining.
The Blue Jays return to action at home Tuesday against Lebanon Valley, in a make-up of a previously rained out game. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
