Etown ENDS SEASON WITH 2-1 WIN OVER WILKES

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Etown ended its season with a bang Saturday, pulling off a 2-1, come-from-behind victory over MAC Freedom Conference power Wilkes. The Blue Jays concluded their season with an 8-11 overall record.

Wilkes jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the opening minutes of the game. Etown tied the score later in the half on a goal by Beth Purcell (Lancaster, PA/Penn Manor).

Stacy Peters (Millville, PA/Central Columbia) scored with 27:48 remaining in the second half to put the Blue Jays ahead to stay. Kate VanValkenburgh (Malvern, PA/Great Valley) made eight saves in the goal to preserve the victory.
