ETOWN FALLS TO WILKES, 2-1, TO FINISH REGULAR SEASON 15-4

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. --- Elizabethtown lost its final game of the regular season on the road against Wilkes, 2-1, to fall to 15-4 overall.

All scoring in the game occurred in the first period, as Jill Henry got Wilkes on the board first with 16:06 remaining in the period. Etown's Marthe Vehmeijer (Rotterdam, The Netherlands/Erasimaans Gymnasium) quickly responded with an unassisted goal less than two minutes later, but Henry's second goal of the game with 0:31 remaining in the half put Wilkes ahead to stay. Despite the score, the Blue Jays actually out-shot Wilkes 15-3.

Etown returns to action on the road Wednesday, October 25 at Messiah for the first round of the Commonwealth Conference playoffs.
