Nationally Ranked Lebanon Valley Squeaks Past Etown, 1-0

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown fell to nationally 13th-ranked Lebanon Valley in a close 1-0 game at home Tuesday to fall to 4-4 overall and 1-2 in the Commonwealth Conference. Lebanon Valley improves to 5-3 overall and 3-1 in the conference with the victory.

Erin Behney (Lebanon, PA/Eastern Lebanon) scored the golden goal for Lebanon Valley off an assist from Fairyn McCleary (Wrightsville, PA/Eastern) with just 13 seconds remaining in the first half. Lebanon Valley outshot the Blue Jays 13-7 over the course of the game. Etown outshot LVC 5-1 in the first half.

Kate VanValkenburgh (Malvern, PA/Great Valley) made nine saves for Elizabethtown, while Lebanon Valley keeper Beth Gross (Littlestown, PA/Littlestown) had five saves.

The Blue Jays return to action at home against conference rival Juniata at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, September 27.
