Etown Blows Out Goucher, 5-0, to Improve to 5-2

BALTIMORE, Md. --- A 5-0 road win over Goucher (2-7) Saturday improved Elizabethtown's overall record in 2002 to 5-2.

Etown took a 2-0 lead in the first half on a pair of goals by Lisa Zbyszinski (Lansdale, PA/Lansdale Catholic). Brandy Espenshade (Grantville, PA/Lower Dauphin) assisted the first goal, and Kelly Miller (Robesonia, PA/Conrad Weiser) got the assist on Zbyszinski's second goal.

Espenshade scored a pair of goals of her own in the second half, as Kate Gwilliam (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) assisted the first and Jama Weigher (Enola, PA/Cumberland Valley) assisted the second. Melanie Slessinger (Westminster, MD/North Carroll) scored Etown's final goal, the first of her collegiate career. She was assisted by Vanessa Fritz (Mohnton, PA/Governor Mifflin).

Elizabethtown out-shot Goucher 47-10, and had eight penalty corners against one for the Gophers.
