12th-Ranked Lebanon Valley Defeats 16th-Ranked Elizabethtown, 5-1

ANNVILLE, Pa. --- Elizabethtown, currently ranked 16th in the nation, lost its second consecutive game to a nationally ranked Commonwealth Conference opponent Saturday, dropping a 5-1 road game to Lebanon Valley to fall to 9-4 overall and 4-2 in the conference in 2002. Lebanon Valley improved to 11-6 overall and 4-2 in the Commonwealth with the win.

Brandy Espenshade (Grantville, PA/Lower Dauphin) scored Elizabethtown's only goal off an assist from Jama Weigher (Enola, PA/Cumberland Valley) at the beginning of the second half to tie the score at 1-1. Lebanon Valley struck back with four unanswered goals over the course of the second half.

Danielle Grill led Lebanon Valley with two goals as the Flying Dutchmen out-shot Elizabethtown 34-5. Lisa Marquette (Lebanon, PA/Cedar Crest) made 15 saves for the Blue Jays.

Elizabethtown returns to action at home against conference rival Moravian Tuesday, October 29 in a 4:00 p.m. game. It is the final home game of Etown's 2002 regular season.
