Undefeated Kean Downs Etown, 3-1

UNION, N.J. --- Elizabethtown fell victim to undefeated Kean on the road Tuesday night, dropping to 1-9 on the season with a 3-1 loss. Kean improved to 10-0 with the victory.

Sophomore forward Mindy Scheler (Pottstown, PA/Owen J. Roberts) scored Etown's only goal of the night, as well as her second of the season, 1:15 before the end of the game off a penalty corner. Monica Carlani scored one goal and assisted another for Kean, which won despite being out-shot by Elizabethtown 13-11. The Blue Jays also held a 13-10 advantage in penalty corners. All three of Kean's goals came in a span of just over five minutes late in the first half.

Etown will return to action at home Saturday, October 4 at 1:00 p.m. in a game against Commonwealth Conference rival Albright that will be broadcasted on the radio in the Elizabethtown area by WWEC-FM at 88.3 and on the Internet at http://www.wwecfm.com.
