Etown Blanks Richard Stockton, 2-0, Behind Potosky and Rinck Goals

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown defeated Richard Stockton 2-0 at home Saturday as part of Etown's Homecoming festivities, improving to 5-11 overall in the process. Richard Stockton dropped to 5-10 with the loss.

The game was scoreless through the first half and almost 20 minutes into the second, when Lauren Potosky (Wrightsville, PA/Eastern York) netted a pass from Traci Brenner (Conowingo, MD/Perryville) at 54:42 to break the stalemate and give the Blue Jays a 1-0 lead. Laura Rinck (Selinsgrove, PA/Selinsgrove) struck with a goal at 57:30 and was assisted by Jenna Mastromarino (Bel Air, MD/Fallston) to complete the scoring.

Etown out-shot Stockton 22-6, and Stockton goalkeeper Caitlyn Nolan made 14 saves. Etown goaltender Lisa Marquette (Lebanon, PA/Cedar Crest) made five saves, and Blue Jay defender Samantha Stever (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh) made a defensive save as well.

Etown will return to action Thursday, October 23 against Ursinus in a 4:00 p.m. home game.
