Gettysburg Blanks Etown, 6-0

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown dropped to 1-2 overall with a 6-0 home loss to Gettysburg (2-0) Wednesday. The Blue Jays were out-shot 16-2 over the course of the game, and Gettysburg held a 9-2 advantage in penalty corners.

The Bullets tallied three goals in the span of five minutes in the first half as Bridget Seidel scored at 14:12 and 13:21, and as Maura Downey scored a 9:41. Gettysburg took its 3-0 lead into halftime, and Morgan Cromwell scored the first goal of the second half at 23:52. Downey followed with another goal at 18:20, and Meg Goddu scored the game's final goal at 17:09.

Etown will return to action at 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 10 against Muhlenberg in the first round of the Muhlenberg Tournament.
