Etown Drops Commonwealth Opener to Widener 1-0

POMONA, N.J. --- Elizabethtown fell to 1-7 overall with a 2-0 road loss to Richard Stockton College Saturday.

Although Etown out-shot Richard Stockton 8-7 and held a 13-12 advantage in penalty corners, the host Ospreys scored at 23:25 on a Courtney Clemens goal and struck again 2:07 into the second half when Dawn D'Orazio scored. Stockton goaltender Caitlin Molan made six saves to earn the shutout.

Etown will return to action at home Thursday, September 23 against Commonwealth Conference rival Susquehanna University in a 4:00 p.m. match.
