Elizabethtown Blanks F&M 1-0 for Third Consecutive Shutout, Improves to 3-0

LANCASTER, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College won its third consecutive shutout and improved to 3-0 in 2006 with a 1-0 road win over Franklin & Marshall College Wednesday afternoon.

Brenna Noon '10 scored the game's only goal, the first of her career.

The lone goal came with less then ten minutes left in the game, as first-year student Brenna Noon (Wyomissing, PA/Wyomissing) netted the first goal of her collegiate career with 9:45 remaining on the clock in the second half.

The Elizabethtown defense allowed just four Franklin & Marshall shots and two shots on goal by the Diplomats. Through three games in 2006, Etown has surrendered just 10 shots and four shots on goal. Etown goaltender Kristen Callaghan (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy) made two saves to preserve the whitewash.

Elizabethtown will return to action on the road Saturday, September 9 against McDaniel College in a 1:00 p.m. non-conference game.
