ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE FIELD HOCKEY Elizabethtown Nets Two First-Half Goals to Defeat Moravian 2-0 in Field Hockey Action ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Junior Tiffany Vogel (Annville, PA/Palmyra) and sophomore Brenna Noon (Wyomissing, PA/Wyomissing) scored first-half goals to lift 20th-ranked Elizabethtown College to a 2-0 victory over Moravian College in non-conference field hockey action at Wolf Field on Saturday afternoon. Vogel scored just 7:23 into the contest as she deflected home a shot by junior Kelsey Diehl (North East, MD/Rising Sun), and Noon added a tally with 14:56 remaining in the first half as she knocked home a shot by junior Andrea Miles (Phoenix, MD/Notre Dame Prep) at the side of the cage to give the Blue Jays (3-3 overall) a 2-0 lead. Elizabethtown, which snapped a three-game losing streak with the win, finished with a 13-7 edge in shots over the Greyhounds (2-3 overall) while penalty corners were even at 8-8. Sophomore Liz Hannegan (Lancaster, PA/McCaskey) picked up her second shutout of the season by making five saves for the Blue Jays, while Maura Acox finished with seven stops for the Greyhounds.
