ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE FIELD HOCKEY Elizabethtown Overwhelms Richard Stockton 10-0 ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College field hockey team routed Richard Stockton College 10-0 in non-conference action at Wolf Field on Saturday afternoon. Juniors Andrea Miles (Phoenix, MD/Notre Dame Prep) and Megan Angstadt (Oley, PA/Oley Valley) each scored two goals and added an assists for the Blue Jays (9-4 overall), who reached double figures in goals for the first time since a 14-0 win over Widener on Sept. 21, 1985. Angstadt and Miles each scored twice in the first 18 minutes to help the Blue Jays build a 4-0 lead, and goals from junior Tiffany Vogel (Annville, PA/Palmyra), first-year student Liz DeMatteis (Newark, DE/St. Mark's) and sophomore Caitlin Smith (Haddonfield, NJ/Bishop Eustace Prep) gave Etown a 7-0 lead at halftime. In the second half, sophomore Courtney Beck (Waynesboro, PA/Waynesboro) scored two goals and sophomore Sara Sementelli (Newport, PA/Greenwood) added a goal to close out the scoring. In addition to Miles and Angstadt, assists also came from Vogel, sophomore Katy Boone (Reading, PA/Muhlenberg) and junior Alison Duval (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley). Elizabethtown finished with a 31-5 edge in shots and an 11-1 advantage in penalty corners over the Ospreys (2-11 overall), who were playing their second match in less than 24 hours following a 4-3 win at Albright on Friday. First-year student Laura Ressler (Media, PA/Delaware County Christian) earned her first career shutout and victory with three saves for the Blue Jays, while Debi O'Kane made 11 stops for Richard Stockton.
