ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE FIELD HOCKEY Sixth-Ranked Ursinus Defeats Elizabethtown, 3-1 COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. --- Kait Sutherland broke a 1-1 tie by scoring the go-ahead goal with 24:57 remaining as sixth-ranked Ursinus College defeated Elizabethtown College 3-1 in non-conference field hockey action on Tuesday afternoon. Jessica Zatwarnicki added an insurance goal with 16:49 to play for the Bears (9-2 overall), who are the defending NCAA Division III champions. Ursinus led 1-0 at halftime on a goal by Jennie Moore with 11:34 left in the first half assisted by Megan Yoder, but the Blue Jays (9-5 overall) tied the match with 29:50 to play as junior Tiffany Vogel (Annville, PA/Palmyra) netted her third goal of the season off an assist by junior Megan Angstadt (Oley, PA/Oley Valley). Sutherland snapped the tie just under five minutes later with her eighth goal of the year off an assist from Zatwarnicki, who followed with her fourth goal of the season eight minutes later with an assist going to Moore. Ursinus held an 18-3 edge in shots and a 21-1 advantage in penalty corners over Elizabethtown in the contest. First-year student Laura Ressler (Media, PA/Delaware County Christian) made 13 saves in goal for the Blue Jays, while Jessica Lamina finished with one stop for the Bears.
