ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE FIELD HOCKEY 2nd-Ranked Lebanon Valley Wraps Up Perfect Regular Season with 5-2 Win over Elizabethtown ANNVILLE, Pa. --- Second-ranked Lebanon Valley College finished off a perfect regular season with a 5-2 victory over Elizabethtown College in Commonwealth Conference field hockey action on Sunday afternoon. Five different players scored for the Dutchmen (19-0 overall, 4-0 Commonwealth), who will host the Commonwealth Conference championship game on Saturday against the winner of Wednesday's playoff match between the Blue Jays (11-7 overall, 2-2 Commonwealth) and host Messiah College. Lebanon Valley led 3-0 at halftime behind goals by Alex Wolfe at 4:47, Christine Schairer at 24:50 on a penalty stroke and Shauna Enck at 32:00. The Blue Jays got on the scoreboard at 47:49 when junior Megan Angstadt (Oley, PA/Oley Valley) tallied her 10th goal of the season off an assist by junior Tiffany Vogel (Annville, PA/Palmyra). Lebanon Valley answered with goals by Shelly Lobach at 48:38 and Sarah Bevens at 51:28 to take a 5-1 lead before Vogel capped off the scoring with her sixth goal of the year with 5:49 left in the contest. Lebanon Valley held a 10-2 edge in shots in the contest, and took eight penalty corners to six by Elizabethtown.First-year student Laura Ressler (Media, PA/Delaware County Christian) made one save in goal for the Blue Jays while Caitlin Baro finished without a stop for the Dutchmen.
