ETOWN SLIPS PAST SUSQUEHANNA, 84-81

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown improved to 9-3 overall and 3-2 in the Commonwealth Conference with a close 84-81 home win over Susquehanna. Susquehanna drops to 7-6 overall and 1-4 in the conference with the loss.

Elizabethtown was led in scoring by Bob Porambo (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty), who had 19 points and six rebounds. Brian Loftus (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) drained three three-pointers en route to scoring 15 points for the Blue Jays, and Ross Unruh (Denver, PA/Cocalico) scored 12.

Point guard Rocky Parise (Harrisburg, PA/Bishop McDevitt) hit three three-pointers, totaled 11 points and dished out seven assists for Etown. The Blue Jays' leading rebounder was Matt Nikoloff (Grove City, PA/Grove City) with seven.

Mike Witcoskie led Susquehanna with 21 points, and Corey Green had ten rebounds for the Crusaders.

Etown returns to action on the road Tuesday, January 16 against Moravian. Game time is 8:00 p.m.
