Blue Jays Defeat Albright 99-62, Extend Record Win Streak to 14 Games; Etown Now 16-1 Overall and 6-0 in Conference

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown extended its program-record winning streak to 14 games with a 99-62 blowout of Albright at Thompson Gymnasium Saturday. With the win, Etown is now 16-1 overall and 6-0 in the Commonwealth Conference. Albright falls to 3-14 overall and 1-4 in the conference with the loss.

Brian Loftus (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) led Elizabethtown with 21 points, and he pulled down seven rebounds. He shot three-for-three from three-point range and eight-for-10 from the floor. Jon English (Haddonfield, NJ/Haddon Township) pulled down eight rebounds and scored 18 points, hitting all six of his foul shots and shooting six-for-11 from the field. Bob Porambo (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) and Chad Heller (New Holland, PA/Garden Spot) each added 12 points to the Blue Jays' attack, and Heller had eight rebounds.

Corey Rich led Albright with 13 points, and Jim Miller led the Lions with six rebounds while scoring 10 points. Nick Lambros also scored 10 points for Albright from off the bench.

Etown returns to action on the road against Messiah Tuesday, January 22. Game time is 8:00 p.m.
