ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE MEN'S BASKETBALL Etown Halts Two-Game Skid with 73-58 Win over Conference Rival Juniata ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown halted a two-game losing streak - its first such streak in three years - with a 73-58 win over Commonwealth Conference rival Juniata at home Saturday. Etown improves to 8-6 overall and 2-2 in the conference with the win, while Juniata drops to 7-6 overall and 2-2 in the conference. Etown held a 32-19 lead by halftime, and Juniata climbed to within six points of Etown with 6:53 remaining in the game and the score at 51-45 following a six point Juniata run. From that point, the Blue Jays outscored their opponents 22-13 for the remainder of the game and were up 64-47 with 2:17 to go. Jon English (Haddonfield, NJ/Haddon Township) led Elizabethtown in scoring with 16 points on eight-for-12 shooting, and he pulled down eight rebounds. Jon Connor (Hershey, PA/Hershey) shot six-for-eight from the field and scored 15 points from off the bench for Etown. Ian Daecher (Lititz, PA/Warwick) led the Blue Jays in rebounding with 11, and he scored seven points. Jeff Lau (Glen Rock, PA/York Catholic) was Juniata's top scorer with 18 points, and Craig Biller (Loretto, PA/Penn Cambria) scored 13 points for Juniata.
