ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE MEN'S BASKETBALL Etown Wins Seventh in a Row, Downs Widener 93-76 to Hand Pioneers First Conference Loss ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College men's basketball team won its seventh straight game Saturday evening, knocking off Commonwealth Conference rival Widener University 93-76 at home to improve to 10-4 overall and 2-2 in the conference. The loss was Widener's first in conference competition this season; the Pioneers are now 9-4 overall and 3-1 in the conference. Dan Keane (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin East) garnered a double-double and led Elizabethtown in scoring and rebounding. He totaled 20 points and 12 rebounds, including five offensive boards. Ian Daecher (Lititz, PA/Warwick) added 16 points, eight rebounds, and four assists; Jon Connor (Hershey, PA/Hershey) scored 17 points and shot five-for-eight from three-point range; and Kyle Conrad (Shillington, PA/Governor Mifflin) added 13 points and eight rebounds for the Blue Jays. Greg Adams (Lebanon, PA/Lebanon) led Etown in assists with seven and scored nine points, and Darryl Brown (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin) scored eight points in 11 minutes from off the bench. Casey Stitzel was Widener's top scorer with 20 points, and all of them were scored in the second half. Taurean Temple added 13 points and a team high of nine rebounds for Widener, and Bilal McAfee, Kris Clarkson, and Essien Ford each totaled 10 points.
