ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE MEN'S BASKETBALL Albright Edges Etown 74-70 in Overtime READING, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College's men's basketball team suffered its first Commonwealth Conference defeat of the 2004-05 season on the road Saturday night, falling 74-70 in overtime to Albright College. Elizabethtown, which is now 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the conference, has seen both of its losses this season come in overtime. Albright improves to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in the conference with the win. Etown overcame a nine-point halftime deficit to tie the game 66-66 at the end of regulation time, outscoring Albright 36-27 over the course of the second half. Albright held a 44-37 advantage in rebounding, but the host Lions committed 28 turnovers against 20 for Etown, and the Blue Jays made 16 steals over the course of the game. The Blue Jays made just 13 of their 21 free throws (61.9%), while Albright made 19 of its 31 attempts from the free throw line (61.3%). Kyle Conrad (Shillington, PA/Governor Mifflin) was Etown's leading scorer with 17 points, and he hit four three pointers and made three steals. Dan Keane (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin East) scored 14 points for Etown on 7-for-10 shooting from the field, and Jon Connor (Hershey, PA/Hershey) added 11 points and three steals. Trevor Deeter was Albright's top scorer with 20 points and 8-for-12 shooting from the field. Both Elu Lawrence and Taylor Steltz added 10 points for Albright.
