Elizabethtown Edges Eastern 72-69

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown improved to 5-4 overall with a 72-69 home win Saturday over Eastern University (3-6). Although Elizabethtown was on the losing end of the scoreboard for only 44 seconds the entire game, the score remained close throughout, with the Blue Jays never getting more than 10 points ahead of Eastern.

Jon Connor (Hershey, PA/Hershey) finished as Etown's leading scorer with 17 points. He shot 7-for-14 from the field and 3-for-8 from three point range. Dan Keane (Harrisburg, PA/Central Bucks East) and Kyle Conrad (Shillington, PA/Governor Mifflin) each added 14 points, with Keane shooting 6-for-8 from the field and 2-for-2 from the free throw line, and with Conrad going 5-for-11 from the field and 2-for-6 from three-point range. Conrad, along with Greg Adams (Lebanon, PA/Lebanon) led Elizabethtown in assists with seven each.

Ryan Tozer was Eastern's leading scorer with 24 points. He shot 7-for-13 from three-point range and 8-for-17 from the field. Brent Voorhees added 11 points and seven rebounds, and Eric Houston scored 10 points with five rebounds for Eastern.

Elizabethtown will return to action on the road Monday, December 20 against Neumann College at 7:00 p.m.
