ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE MEN'S BASKETBALL
Elizabethtown Downs Moravian 86-76
ELIZABETHTOWN , Pa. --- Elizabethtown improved to 11-5 overall and 3-3 in the Commonwealth Conference Saturday evening with an 86-76 home win over Moravian College, which dropped to 5-12 overall and 0-6 in the conference with the loss.
Greg Brizek (Sinking Spring, PA/Conrad Weiser) led five scorers in double digits for Elizabethtown with 15 points as he shot 5-for-7 from the field, 2-for-4 from behind the arc and 3-for-4 from the free throw line. Luke Ledyard (Frederick, MD/Gov. Thomas Johnson) came off the bench to score 14 points and grab seven rebounds for Etown, and Greg Adams (Lebanon, PA/Lebanon) scored 13 points while leading Etown in assists with seven and in steals with three. Brian Schreiber (Mechanicsburg, PA/East Pennsboro) led Elizabethtown in rebounds with eight and scored 11 points, and Michael Schatzmann (Paradise, PA/Pequea Valley) scored 11 points from off the bench.
Zach Zsilavecz (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) was Moravian’s top scorer with 18 points, and Ed Reid (Pen Argyl, PA/Pen Argyl) led Moravian in rebounds with nine while scoring 11 points. Justin Chestnut (Willow Grove, PA/Upper Moreland) scored 17 points for Moravian, and Ryan Miller (Easton, PA/Easton) scored 10 points.
Elizabethtown will return to action on the road Wednesday, January 25 against Widener University in a 7:00 p.m. Commonwealth Conference game.
