BALANCED ATTACK GIVES ETOWN KEY 87-74 WIN OVER ALBRIGHT

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Dan Andros scored 22 points, one short of his career high, and three other Blue Jays hit double figures as Elizabethtown stopped Albright 87-74 in Middle Atlantic Conference action on Saturday. With the win, the Jays improved to 13-9 overall and 7-5 in the Commonwealth League.

Ryan Billet was next on the Etown scoring list with 15 points while Chris Satelle added 12 points and Brad Karli scored a season-high 11 points to go with eight assists and five steals.

James Drewry led all scorers with 33 points, including six three-pointers, for Albright while Mark Moritz added 19 points and pulled down a game-high 15 rebounds.

Leading 46-44 with 16:39 remaining in the second half, Etown went on a 7-0 run to open up a nine-point advantage.

Drewry hit a three-pointer to cut the deficit to 53-47 with 14:10 left, but Satelle hit a jumper and Adam Weber stroked a key trifecta to put the Jays up 62-49 with 9:37 remaining.

Moritz got the lead back to single digits with a pair of free throws, but Satelle answered with baskets on consecutive possessions to give Etown a 68-55 lead at the 7:24 mark. The Lions could get no closer than eight points the rest of the way.

Weber finished with nine points on the afternoon while Mark Sweet continued to lead the team in rebounding with 12 boards to go with seven points, three assists and three steals.

Etown returns to action on Tuesday, February 17 at Juniata College. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
