SUSQUEHANNA EXACTS 105-73 REVENGE ON ETOWN; CRUSADERS SHOOT 58 PERCENT TO HAND JAYS THIRD LEAGUE LOSS SELINSGROVE, Pa. --- Jarrod O'Neill and Rob Makarewicz led 13 Crusaders into the scoring column with 15 points apiece as Susquehanna defeated Elizabethtown, 105-73, in MAC Commonwealth League action on Saturday. With the loss, the Blue Jays fell to 12-5 (6-3 MAC Commonwealth League). Mike Barrette added 14 points as the Crusaders (6-11, 4-5 MAC Commonwealth League) shot 58.3 percent from the field to avenge a 99-77 loss to Etown earlier in the season. Adam Weber (Stroudsburg, Pa./Pocono Mountain) led four Blue Jays in double figures with 16 points while Kevin Cristofoletti (Kendall Park, N.J./Notre Dame) tallied 13 points in the loss. A.J. Beamer (New Holland, Pa./Garden Spot) added 11 points while Ross Unruh (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) scored ten points for Etown. The Blue Jays trailed only 28-26 with 8:56 left in the first half, but Susquehanna went on a 12-0 run to take a 40-26 lead and increased their advantage to 52-36 by halftime. The Crusaders shot 51.7 percent from the floor in the second half, including 7-for-10 from three-point range, to stifle any hopes of an Etown comeback. The Blue Jays return to MAC Commonwealth League
action on Wednesday, February 3 at home against Widener University.
