SCRANTON, Pa. --- Al Callejas scored 25 points and Jason Fisher added 20 points as Scranton broke open a tie game in the closing minutes to defeat Elizabethtown, 84-78, in Middle Atlantic Conference non-league action on Saturday.  With the loss, the Blue Jays fell to 12-7 on the season.

Mark Sweet (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) tied a career-high with 17 points and added 13 rebounds to lead the Etown effort.  Kevin Cristofoletti (Kendall Park, N.J./Notre Dame) chipped in with 15 points while Bob Porambo (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) scored a career-best 13 points in 27 solid minutes off the Blue Jay bench.

Etown trailed 44-32 at halftime, but fought back in the second half to tie the score at 76 with a minute and a half remaining.  Scranton's Ryan Larkin knocked down the last of his four three-pointers to give the Royals the lead for good and Callejas followed with a basket to make it 81-76.

Brian Schmoyer (Birdsboro, Pa./Daniel Boone) scored his lone basket of the night to pull the Blue Jays within three, before Scranton converted three free throws in the final seconds to seal the win.

Scranton shot 27-for-50 (54.0 percent) from the field on the afternoon while holding Etown to a 27-for-69 (39.6 percent) shooting performance for the game.  A.J. Beamer (New Holland, Pa./Garden Spot) also scored in double figures with 11 points for the Blue Jays while Schmoyer dished out a game-high seven assists.
