BLUE JAYS KNOCK OFF FRANKLIN AND MARSHALL, 77-71, SWEET GRABS 600TH CAREER REBOUND

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Underdog Elizabethtown never fell behind Franklin and Marshall at the Blue Jays downed the Diplomats 77-71 Thursday night at F & M. Etown senior co-captain Mark Sweet (Sadsbury, PA/Coatesville) became the eleventh Blue Jay to reach the 600-rebound plateau during the game.

Leading Elizabethtown (7-7 overall) in scoring was Ross Unruh (Denver, PA/Cocalico) with 22 points, including six in the game's final two minutes. Sweet led the Blue Jays with eight rebounds, bringing his career total to 605, and scored 11 points.

Alex Craft scored a team-high 21 points for Franklin and Marshall (10-5 overall).

Elizabethtown returns to action on the road Saturday against Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth foe Juniata. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
