ETOWN DEFEATS MESSIAH, 79-76

GRANTHAM, Pa. --- Elizabethtown defeated conference rival Messiah in a close 79-76 game Tuesday, avenging a loss to the Falcons earlier this season. With the win, Etown is now 10-9 overall and 4-6 in the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth, while Messiah falls to 9-10 overall and 4-6 in the conference.

Ross Unruh (Denver, PA/Cocalico) led the Blue Jays with 17 points, while Mark Sweet (Sadsburyville, PA/Coatesville) and Matt Nikoloff (Grove City, PA/Grove City) pulled down a team-high six rebounds. Sweet also scored 16 points while shooting six for six from the foul line, and Bob Porambo (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) added 14 points.

Zach Yoder led the Falcons with 17 points scored and six rebounds.

Etown returns to action at home Saturday against Scranton in a non-conference game. Game time is 3:00 p.m.
