UNRUH SCORES 24 AS ETOWN DOWNS DELAWARE VALLEY, 82-59

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Ross Unruh (Denver, PA/Cocalico) scored 24 points and drained five three-pointers as Elizabethtown defeated Delaware Valley, 82-59, in its home opener Tuesday.

Etown built a 39-23 lead by halftime, but Delaware Valley chipped away at the lead early in the second half until the Aggies pulled to within six points in the middle of the second period. The Blue Jays pulled ahead as Unruh erupted for four second half three-pointers. Jameel Hawthorne led Delaware Valley with 13 points.

Mark Sweet (Sadsburyville, PA/Coatesville) pulled down 13 rebounds and scored 18 points for Etown, and Bob Porambo (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) scored 16 points and had eight rebounds.

Elizabethtown returns to action Wednesday, December 1 at Lebanon Valley. Game time is 8:00 p.m.
