UNRUH'S 25 POINTS NOT ENOUGH AS ETOWN FALLS TO MESSIAH, 80-70

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Despite 25 points and six three pointers from Ross Unruh (Denver, PA/Cocalico), Elizabethtown squandered a 40-37 halftime lead and fell to conference rival Messiah, 80-70.

Unruh went four for four from three-point land in the first half, and the Blue Jays went eight for eight behind the three-point line before halftime to carry a three point lead into the intermission. However, the Blue Jays managed to shoot only 27.6% from the field in the second half as Messiah (4-3, 1-2) stole the game's momentum and shot 57.1% from the field in the second half.

David Greenplate (Glen Rock, PA/Susquehannock) paced the Falcons with 24 points and 10 rebounds. The Falcons out-rebounded the Blue Jays 37-22 in the game.

Elizabethtown (2-4, 0-3) returns to action on the road against Gettysburg Saturday, December 11. Game time is 3:00 p.m.
