Scranton Comes from Behind to Defeat Etown, 15-11

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Despite taking a 7-4 lead into halftime, Elizabethtown struggled in the second half and fell 15-11 to Middle Atlantic Conference rival Scranton at home Thursday. It was Elizabethtown's first MAC loss of the season. Scranton (3-4, 2-2) outscored Etown 7-1 (3-3, 2-1) in the third quarter and 4-3 in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

Matt Newell (Malvern, PA/Great Valley) led Elizabethtown with four goals scored, and he added one assist. Classmate Sean Thomson (Malvern, PA/Great Valley) led Elizabethtown with five assists and nine ground balls, and he scored one goal as well.

Also, Etown defender Chris McCrea (Broomall, PA/Marple Newtown) scored his first career goal.

Etown returns to action on the road against MAC rival Susquehanna Tuesday, April 2 for a 4:00 p.m. game.
