ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE MEN'S LACROSSE Etown Blows Out MAC Rival Susquehanna, 14-6 SELINSGROVE, Pa. --- Elizabethtown capitalized on a seven-goal second quarter and held Middle Atlantic Conference rival Susquehanna to just one goal the entire second half en route to a 14-6 victory over the Crusaders on the road Tuesday. Etown improves to 4-3 overall and 3-1 in the conference with the win, while Susquehanna falls to 2-4 overall and 0-3 in the conference. Sean Thomson (Malvern, PA/Great Valley) led the Etown offense with seven goals scored, and he had one assist. Fellow freshman Matt Newell (Malvern, PA/Great Valley) added four goals for the Blue Jays and assisted two more goals. Also scoring single goals for the Blue Jays were Dave Eshleman (Lancaster, PA/Manheim Township), Ryan Smetana (Conowingo, MD/John Carroll) and Mike Dunn (Upper Darby, PA/Bonner). Smetana added an assist, and Allen Churchman (Aston, PA/Garnet Valley) and Bryan Miller (West Chester, PA/Henderson) both led the Blue Jays with three assists each. Etown returns to action on the road Saturday, April 6 against MAC rival FDU-Madison for a 1:00 p.m. game. At Selinsgrove, Pa.
